#nonduality How would you describe nonduality to someone in simple and conventional terms? https://www.reddit.com/r/nonduality/comments/w91aw1/how_would_you_describe_nonduality_to_someone_in/ As a draft... What is nonduality: Thinking and feeling give us the impression that we are a separate-self, a personal-doer. Nonduality is a bunch of dead concepts that can become alive through our love for truth, brave inquiry and practical exploration. In ignorance we are hypnotized by the unexamined belief that "I am a body-mind"; a person that is either afraid to be diminished or hungry to be aggrandized. Nonduality has the capacity to recalibrate our sense of self from a contracted personal "me", into the openness and clarity of "I am". We discover that our happiness is not dependent on circumstances. We demystify suffering and see the me-chanism we entertained unknowingly. We confirm our direct experience: I am something rather than nothing. Free of the burden to identify myself. What do I really want? What do I assume myself to be?
