You will find that as you start to sit in silence, there will certainly be an initial period of resistance where your mind will do anything and everything to resist and run away from it. It is unfortunately true that most people quit in this stage. But if you stay consistent through that initial period of resistance, you begin to love silence. You will even begin to seek it during your day. You will see clearly that from it, all clarity, wisdom, maturity, strength, love, intuition, and understanding flow to you. You will be bewildered how you ever lived without it, how lost you used to be in unnecessary confusion and suffering. You will discover your inner guru and become receptive to its guidance, no longer needing so many external means of support. I share this with you today as some words of support and encouragement if you have not yet began your silent meditation practice, or if you are currently in that initial period of resistance. Stay consistent. Sit in silence twice daily for 20 mins each session. Silence is the way to the peace and clarity that you seek. [[Sunny Sharma]]
